September Breezes in Munich
September breezes wander slow
Through amber leaves that softly glow,
Along the Isar’s mirrored grace
Where sky and earth exchange their face.
Tall chestnuts bow in russet fire,
Their shadows stretched by sun’s last choir,
While footpaths hum with muted feet
And time grows kind, unhurried, sweet.
A temple crowns the distant rise,
Pale marble drinking autumn skies,
Its silence holding every prayer
The season breathes into the air.
Gold trembles on the water’s skin,
Reflections blur where days begin
To tilt from summer’s open hand
Toward gentler hours the heart has planned.
Here laughter drifts like falling leaves,
Here memory more softly grieves,
As Munich, calm in fading light,
Learns how to turn the year just right.
