Places We Visited in Udaipur • Shri Eklingji Temple: A famous Hindu temple complex located in the Udaipur district of Rajasthan, India. It is situated in Kailashpuri village, near the ancient capital of Mewar, Nagda. Lord Eklingji is believed to be the ruling deity of the former Mewar princely state, and the Maharana traditionally served as His Dewan (chief administrator). • Lake Pichola: A beautiful artificial freshwater lake in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It was created in 1362 AD and is named after the nearby Picholi village. It is one of the city’s most famous lakes and has been developed over several centuries. The lake is surrounded by magnificent palaces, temples, and ghats, making it one of Udaipur’s most iconic attractions. • Taj Lake Palace: A luxurious five-star heritage hotel located on Jag Niwas Island in the middle of Lake Pichola. Built from white marble, it is one of Udaipur’s most famous landmarks and offers breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding Aravalli Hills. • ...
