Places We Visited During Our Trip to Kanyakumari

• Suchindram Shree Thanumalayan Swamy Temple – The Thanumalayan Temple, also known as the Sthanumalayan Temple, is an important Hindu temple located in Suchindram, in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu. It is dedicated to the Hindu Trinity—Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma.

• Shirdi Sai Baba Temple – A beautiful white temple situated atop a hill, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

• Kumari Amman Temple – One of the most sacred Hindu temples in India, dedicated to Goddess Kumari Amman (an incarnation of Goddess Parvati). It is a major pilgrimage site in Kanyakumari.

• Vivekananda Rock Memorial – A famous monument and tourist attraction situated on one of the two rocky islets about 500 metres off the mainland near Vavathurai. Built in 1970, it commemorates Swami Vivekananda, who is believed to have attained enlightenment while meditating on this rock.

• Marunthuvazh Malai – Also known as Marundhuvazh Malai or Maruthwamalai, this hill is considered a part of the legendary Sanjeevi Hills and forms the southernmost extension of the Western Ghats in Agasteeswaram Taluk, Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu. It is known as Maruthuva Mala by the people of southern Kerala.

• Sunset Point – A popular viewpoint renowned for its spectacular sunset views over the sea and the rocky coastline.

• Mysterious Mother Mary Statue – A scenic location near Kanyakumari Beach that offers a wonderful vantage point to witness the sunset.

• Our Lady of Ransom Church – A prominent Catholic church located in Kanyakumari and one of the most important Christian pilgrimage sites in South India.
