Kanyakumari Trip

  During our trip to Kanyakumari we visited the following places :  • Suchindram Shree Thanumalayan Swamy Temple – The Thanumalayan Temple, also called Sthanumalayan Temple is an important Hindu temple located in Suchindram in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu.  • Shirdi Sai Baba Temple – The white temple situated at the top of the hill, with excellent view . • Kumari Amman Temple – The Kumari Amman Temple is one of the most sacred temples in the world. • Vivekananda Rock Memorial – A monument and popular tourist attraction in Kanyakumari. The memorial stands on one of the two rocks located about 500 meters off mainland of Vavathurai. Thiruvananthapuram Trip

During our visit to Thiruvananthapuram we visited the following places : • Vettucaud Church – This church is also known as the Madre De Deus Church meaning Mother of God and is especially renowned among the pilgrims and tourists for the Feast of Christ the King celebration. Madre de Deus Church bears the tradition of more than 500 years. • Vettucaud Beach – The beach which is located very near to Vettucaud Church. • Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple – The Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is a famous Hindu temple of Lord Vishnu located in Thiruvananthapuram. This historical temple, included in the major Vaishnava temples of India, is one of the many tourist places in Thiruvananthapuram. The Padmanabha Swamy Temple is an important place of worship for Vishnu-devotees. • Kovalam Beach – An internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. Kumarakom Trip

We stayed at The Zuri Kumarakom, Kerala Resort & Spa, a 5-star resort in Kumarakom, directly on the shores of the scenic Vembanadu Lake. During our trip to Kumarakom, I did bamboo rafting and zip lining. At Kumarakom restaurant, I had chilli chicken with rice in lunch and butter chicken with roti in dinner. ABOUT KUMARAKOM Kumarakom is a small and beautiful village in Kerala situated on the serene banks of the Vembanad Lake. It’s laced with canals, where houseboats ply the waters. Earlier this place was known for rubber plantation but now this place has developed into a bird sanctuary. Kumarakom is an ideal place for people doing research on birds. There is always a steady flow of domestic and foreign tourists here. 

Alappuzha Trip

The places that we visited during our trip to Alappuzha : • Vembanad Lake – The longest lake in India, as well as the largest lake in the state of Kerala. • St. Joseph's Church – A Catholic church in Kerala. It belongs to Syro-Malabar Church under the archeparchy of Changanacherry. Built in 977 AD, it is is the first church in Asia dedicated to Saint Joseph. • St. Thomas Orthodox Church – It is a 100 years old church. • Palathikkadu Sree Bhadradevi Temple  • Alleppey Lighthouse – It  is situated in the coastal town of Alappuzha. It was built in 1862 and is a major tourist attraction. • Paddy Fields  ABOUT ALAPPUZHA  Alappuzha, also known as Alleppey, is a city in Alappuzha district in the Indian state of Kerala. Kochi Trip

During our trip to Kochi, we visited the following places :   • Mattancherry Palace – Mattancherry Palace, also known as Dutch Palace, is situated at Mattancherry in Ernakulam district and was built by Portuguese in 1557 and presented to Raja Veera Kerala Verma of Kochi. It is famous for its long and spacious halls along with its central courtyard. It is also the home of the deity of the royal family, Pazhayannur Bhagavathy (the deity of Pazhayannur). This double-storied palace has a lovely collection of murals. • Jew Street – The Jew Street in Kochi is famous for its antique shops, which sell artefacts, crockery pieces, wooden furniture, etc. A nearby attraction is the Jewish Synagogue.
